That's right, before you know it, you'll be packed and on your way to campus to move into the residence halls! Plans are well underway for this important day, and we're eager to welcome you to the many exciting things happening on campus in August! We understand that the move-in process is a very big step for many of our students. With that in mind, we want to make sure your first day at NIU goes as smoothly as possible. Come rain or shine, more than 1,000 student and staff volunteers will be on hand in and around the residence halls to help make your move-in a comfortable transition. You will recognize them by their red shirts displaying Team NIU and NI Guides designs.

All new freshmen and transfers are encouraged to move in on August 21st to take advantage of the Welcome Days programming scheduled throughout the weekend beginning Thursday evening. This includes Huskie Bash which takes place on Thursday, August 21st.
