We are thrilled you have chosen to live in the NIU residence halls, and we anticipate your arrival. We are now accepting housing applications from current off-campus students for the 2008-2009 academic year.
To apply for Housing please e-mail your name and ZID# to housing-dining@niu.edu. We will set up your account and notify you within a few days to return to this website and apply.
We will acquire much of your demographic information from Records and Registration. To complete your housing application you will fill out some basic information and pay a $150 prepayment via Visa or Mastercard, $125 of which is applied to your housing fees. The credit card payment process is a secure network.
After you have completed the application, you will receive a confirmation letter from Housing & Dining. You will be notified to return to this Web site and select your room. It is recommended that you begin exploring the large variety of living options, so you are fully informed when you select your room.
To apply for housing you must be using Internet Explorer or Netscape. The application system is NOT compatible with Safari or Mozilla Firefox.
If you choose not to pay via credit card or it is not possible to access Internet Explorer or Netscape you may print the contract below and mail it with your check or money order for $150.00 to:
